Collect Luminance Information

Use this command to record luminance information for closed contours drawn over acquired images.

 

To record luminance information:

• Click Image>Collect Luminance Information.

OR

• Open the Contour Measurements window.

 

To turn off luminance recording:

• Click Image>Collect Luminance Information; the check mark is removed which means that the command is disabled.

 

To see a thumbnail of the image and a histogram of the luminance values within a contour:

1. Use the Options>General Preferences>Luminance tab.
2. In the Luminance tab, check the Save Image Histogram and Save Image check boxes. The image of the contour and the luminance histogram can both be copied to the clipboard and pasted into other programs for further analysis.
